Soil Auger Bit for Cordless Drill (25″ x 4″)

Dig holes over 2 feet deep in your garden or field in seconds using our Soil Auger drill bit. Just attach the Soil Auger drill bit to a cordless drill, dig your hole, and clear away the dirt. Then, insert your EarthScout TDR Soil Moisture Sensor through the bottom of the hole for deep soil readings up to 32" deep (inserting the sensor vertically gives you the average moisture across the length of the sensor tines), or drill two side-by-side, overlapping holes and insert the sensor through the side wall of the hole for precise soil moisture readings up to 25" deep. The Soil Auger is effective in any soil, including clay. The Soil Auger can also be used to dig a large hole for installing our EarthScout Burial Tube.

• DRILL RECOMMENDATIONS: Compatible with any 3/8" chucked drill. We recommend using an 18V or higher drill with an auxiliary handle to hold the drill with both hands for added user control and safety. For cordless drills a 14V drill minimum is recommended.
