The University of Minnesota Extension is hosting a field day at Anderson Farms in Belgrade, MN in conjunction with the Minnesota Irrigator Program on Thursday, July 28th, 2022.
Topics at the Anderson Farms Field Day include:
- An update on variable rate irrigation research
- Soil moisture sensors and the effect of soil texture on irrigation management
- Sprinkler packages
- Overall irrigation systems
The Minnesota Irrigator Program (MIP) is an educational program offered to farmers and certified crop advisors to learn more about irrigation systems, installing soil moisture sensors, irrigation scheduling, and new technologies in irrigation including variable rate irrigation and remote sensing.
The first MIP event was held in March of 2022 and it will be offered again this upcoming winter in case you missed it or want to continue to learn as these farm technologies evolve.
